One week before opening school, I had to go UTM for centralized training of MASUM. In ten days training, almost all the players attend and pay good attention on the training. What the special elements instilled in this training that different with previous is more emphasized on fitness and strength training which cover 60 percent of whole training program me. However, our coach only make less than 1 hour of strength training on us everyday due to our fitness still cannot achieve required standard.
Fitness test had been done in the first day and the last day. Like normally, I only ran for level 7. It seems have improved of fitness after daily jogging along 12 minutes. This camp actually does not improve much of my skills but I learn much from that. Unit Sukan plans to give us minimum of 5km jogging distance every week start January. I know the importance of fitness, footwork, agility, bounding and wrist force in table tennis. Thus, I have bought a jump rope so to train my bouncing speed and footwork. Besides, I plan to do gym and jogging if I have free time so I will not in hardship during jogging of 5km. Anyway, I realized that the rubber play a very important role in table tennis. I just change my forward rubber from Dawei 2008 to Butterfly Sriver and it seems improved my spin and speed. I feel good with it, nice to change angle, lighter, and can easier apply more types of skills.
I may be played in double event, so I think I should work very hard start now in order to enter at least semi-final in MASUM. It seen so far but nothing is impossible in sport. At least, I can get a medal in MASUM as a symbolically achievement in table tennis in university’s level.
